Individual Therapy:

As we go through life, we are often faced with events or life experiences that impact us emotionally and mentally. Our goal is to meet you in your time of need, creating a trusting and supportive environment. Focus is placed on how this time or experience is impacting you, as we create a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs.

Individual therapy can be short-term or longer-term and is truly based on your needs. Within individual therapy, we spend time exploring your emotions & reactions, processing events and creating inner self-management of emotions, thoughts and responses.

Couples/Marital Therapy:

Relationships can be beautiful, but they can also be challenging. Couples therapy places focus on exploring the relationship, understanding each individual and their emotional needs, understanding different communication styles, and working towards healthier awareness of not only yourself within the relationship but also your partner.

Reasons for seeking couples therapy varies for every couple, including to build healthier communication, to remediate conflict or stressors within the relationship, to cope with life transitions and/or to contemplate a relationship status.

Child Therapy: Children are simply little humans with the same range of emotions as adults. They often struggle with understanding their emotions, finding ways to communicate their emotions, and using alternative ways to manage their emotions. This is where therapy for children can provide assistance.

Initially, therapy starts with meeting both the child and the parent/guardian. During these initial sessions, the provider will work to establish a trusting relationship, review and understand how the child has been since birth, including their role and personality within the family system, the school setting and the peer setting.

It is important to customize the approach of therapy to meet the specific needs of the child. Based on the emotional and developmental needs of the child, a variety of different therapeutic techniques will be utilized while working alongside the child and the parent/guardian. The goal of child therapy is to create new skills and tools for both the child and the parent/guardian to better assist with emotional management while the child continues to grow and evolve.

Common Child Conditions: Adjustment to Life Transition; Adjustment to Family Changes; Aggression; ADHD; Oppositional Defiant Disorder; Parent-Child Conflict
